The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated in the middle of the autumn season, is the second grandest festival in China after the Chinese New Year. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as at that time of the year the moon is at its roundest and brightest.

Gather your family for a celebration as Lotus Court launches its newest set menu this September 23 which starts at Php 5,000.

Set Menu 1 can be shared for a group of four which serves Chilled Chili Spicy Cucumber, Dimsum Puff, Chinese Abalone Soup with Fish Maw and Sea Cucumber, Crispy Fragrant Duck served with Fresh Mangi, Stir-Fried Beef Tenderloin with Lemon and Black Pepper, Stir-Fried Lettuce with Chinese White Wine, Seafood Fried Rice and Almond Cream with Red Bean Dumpling and Sago.

For a group of eight, Set Menu 2 serves Prawn and Pea Xiao Long Bao, Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, Steamed Pomapano with Special Sauce, Braised Pork in Shanghai Style Sauce, Stir-Fried Spicy Herbed Chicken Hot Pot, Crisp Eggplant with Honey & Chili, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Lotus Paste Bun with Salted Egg.

Marco Polo Davao’s Thai Food Festival at Cafe Marco is ongoing from June 30 to July 6, 2017 right here in Davao City to celebrate the delights of Thai cuisine to our palates.

Chef Nontra-Udon Baupha, a Thai national, brought with him his 38 years of culinary experience in Thai cuisine for the festival. He is currently with the Marco Polo Prince Hotel but has worked from various hotels and restaurants both in Thailand and Hong Kong such as Imperial Hotel (Thailand), Tip Top Thai Restaurant (Thailand) and Supapra’s Thai Restaurant (Hong Kong).

“We are delighted to host this event as it is a very timely and great opportunity for us to know more about different cultures which includes their food, arts, music, especially our neighboring countries like Thailand. This is a very great exposure not just for our culinary team but for Davao city as well. We hope this will not be the last Thai food festival, but a beginning of more culinary endeavors for both countries and other ASEAN countries as well,” says Marco Polo Davao General Manager Dottie Wurgler-Cronin.

Indulge in pad Thai, tom yam soup, Thai chicken rice, mango sticky rice served with coconut milk,  rich flavors of Thai grilled seafood items. and other authentic Thai cuisine dishes being offered as part of the buffet lunch and dinner at Cafe Marco that the guests can enjoy at Php1500 per person.

An Ode to Thai Culinary Journey at Marco Polo Davao

Marco Polo Davao brings another Southeast Asian flavor to Café Marco as they open the Thai Food Festival happening this coming June 30, 2017 with guest Chef Baupha from Marco Polo Prince Hotel in Hong Kong. The festival of flavors will run for one week from June 30 to July 6 and will showcase some of Thailand’s signature dishes.

Chef Nontra-Udon Baupha, a Thai national, will be bringing with him 38 years of culinary experience in Thai cuisine. He is currently with the Marco Polo Prince Hotel but has worked for various hotels and restaurants both in Thailand and Hong Kong such as Imperial Hotel (Thailand), Tip Top Thai Restaurant (Thailand) and Supapra’s Thai Restaurant (Hong Kong).

Some of items that guests can enjoy include Tom Yam Kung, Phad Thai, Thai chicken rice, Mango sticky rice and rich flavors of Thai grilled seafood items.  The food festival will open on the evening of June 30 but will run on both lunch and dinner service thereafter.

Diners can enjoy this authentic Thai buffet at Php1,500 per person. Reservations can be made through phone at (82) 221 0888.
