The French Baker Opens a Bigger Resto in Davao at SM Lanang Premier Fountain Court last August 8, 2013. Yes it opened on an 8/8 date.

My boys and I went to SM Lanang to do our grocery errand last Thursday afternoon. While waiting for my husband to join us at SMLA coming from a quick yet important visit to his office, my little boy and I went to check the exhibit at the 22nd MinBizCon at the SMX Convention Center. Going down, I saw their poster near the escalator announcing the opening of the new and bigger resto.
I didn’t see the update or any announcement if there was any from SM Lanang’s Facebook page when I checked recently. So out of curiosity, when the husband finally came I told him that the TFB has opened at the Fountain Court area. We were quite hungry then so we decided to have an afternoon snack there so we can also check out the new resto.
It’s bigger than I thought! As we went out of the SM Supermarket exit to the fountain court area, I immediately saw the place. It is located between Mesa and the SM Lanang Supermarket entrance/exit. It’s near Hog’s Breath.

Hokkaido Cake | The French Baker at SM Lanang Premier in Davao
This is The French Baker’s new Hokkaido Cake which is a light, airy and buttery sponge cake with a rich creamy center with a cream filling inside. The sponge cake is so light and it makes me think of it as a delicate soufflé. Its creamy filling is a touch of French vanilla. It was introduced last December 7, 2012 and was first launched in Malaysia.
