Sundays Modern Home Cooking at Go Hotels Lanang Davao
Sundays Modern Home Cooking is a new restaurant in town where you can come home to your favorite dishes, not only during Sundays when most families usually gather all together to share a feast, but even on any given day for a special family occasion. We were able to have what fits a family feast for lunch last March 14.

When in Davao, dine at Sundays with your family and friends.
It is open for all diners from 6AM to 10PM daily.
I was quite surprised that it has a more spacious dining area than I imagined. Love the beautiful and homey interiors, and how cozy the ambiance of the resto is the first time I stepped into it.
This section of the resto is one of my fave. Big families can dine here not only on Sundays, but on any day for special gatherings or when they simply want to dine out and enjoy while in the city your favorite delicious food that you love to come home to on Sundays and feast with your family.
I wish this was near my parents place in Davao for I am sure I will really recommend this place to my sister G as she usually treats our family during special family occasions which we do celebrate the past few years by dining out together at restaurants in Davao City. My parents live quite far down south of the city. Though the younger ones in the family can dine here together one day soon hopefully. I hope my sister gets to read this soon for a birthday celebration up next! *wink* But then it is still Lent which is more important by our faith. Then again there is yet other upcoming birthdays in the family, so I am praying we will have it there at Sundays so they can also try the good food they have there!
Now here are the food we are blessed to have tasted at Sundays! These recipes are Filipino and Chinese inspired by family recipes particularly timeless recipes that they love to feast on for Sunday lunch gatherings with the whole family and clan.
First is their must-try specialty dish when you dine with the family at Sundays. Enjoy their special Pork Humba in a hotpot!
“When we were young, our favorite was our grandmother’s Humba — slow-cooked pork in sweet-salty sauce – and the highlight of a family Sunday lunch. It’s a timeless recipe and a favorite too of our own children.” – SundaysMHC
The pork humba is one of their specialty. My dear little guy loves pork humba. I am sure he will love this at Sundays.
This next dish stirred excitement in us when our eyes laid on it as it was served on our table.
Bacon + Liempo = taste of meaty heaven!
Next is their seafood curry…
I love curry and I have a foodie love affair with curry dishes. I indulge in those that are just mild spicy curry dishes only once in awhile. This seafood curry at Sundays for me is a healthier version and is an option for those dining who wants to stay away from eating meat or pork. They also have Tuna Belly BBQ with Muscovado Glaze for those who wants to have fish.
That’s roasted bulalo (beef shanks) with cream sauce and served with cauliflower-truffle mash. It’s my first time to try mashed cauliflower which we thought was potato except that the texture on our mouth wasn’t that smooth making me realize it wasn’t what we thought it was. This is a low carb and perfect substitute to potato. It is also a healthier side dish which is a good way to add veggies to your meal for kids to eat.
This is a fave new started served with cheese crostini and tortilla chips. This healthy dip gave me an idea how to let my son eat malunggay without him actually knowing it.
Sundays Salad
For the love and craving for Davao’s pomelo, this is indeed a must!
I find this penne pasta dish in squid ink sauce and Italian sausage good reminding me of my fave paella negra.
Sundays serve delicious pizza too for families to enjoy especially those with kids!
Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza
Among the ones we’ve tried, I’d go for the Shrimp and Chorizo pizza. They also have sisig pizza which would like to try in our next visit.
This pudding was an instant fave! Enjoyed indulging in it.
Suman Langka Rolls with Tablea Dip
I would recommend the bibingka pudding and langka rolls for dessert.
Since it is summer time already, they have refreshing drinks for you to enjoy.
Mango and watermelon made into delicious and healthy fresh fruit shakes that are perfect drinks to beat the summer heat! Cheers!
