Hola Amigos & Amigas… La Lola Churreria opens and is now frying your new fave churros in town at SM Lanang Premier in Davao City!
It is their 20th store in the Philippines and the first La Lola branch to open in Mindanao.

I remembered other churros brand we’ve tried before here in Davao City. That was quite sometime ago though.
So we were excited to hear a few months ago sometime last year about La Lola opening a branch here in Davao at a premier mall in the northern part of the city. We all know where that is right? *wink* They were also planning to open more branches in Davao City in the future.
I’ve come to know about La Lola initially through Instagram posts of foodies and bloggers in Manila. If my memory recall is right that was in 2015.
“La Lola opened its first store at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell Center in December 2014. The concept became so popular that long lines were formed in front of the 10 square meter store that offered freshly-made Churros Clasico with rich chocolate dip along with sandwiches and coffee.”
Finally on February 18, 2017 to be exact, my boys and I were in SM Lanang and it happened to be their soft opening. So here’s another place to go for churros here in the city as La Lola Churreria was finally about to open its door to Davaoenos for the first time. I remember we were quite too early for the 2PM opening that time. We also spotted a friend’s family and some familiar faces during the day of their soft opening then.

Good thing the line and waiting time wasn’t that long yet when we got there. Another acquaintance told me when they go there after that, the line would be always long.
The churrero deep fries the freshly made churros. They use olive oil to deep fry the churros.

For drinks to go with your churros, they serve iced and hot coffee.
They also serve other drinks like Bayani Brew lemongrass, Cocio Classic and Dark Chocolate Milk.
Since my boys and I haven’t tried their churros since, we settled to order and try the plain and original – their churros clasicos, which was also what our friend have tried in one of their branches in Manila.
An order of this large Churros Clasicos is P195 with 6 pieces of churros with dark chocolate dip. You may buy another Churro dip – matcha dip if you want for P60 medium, P100 large or P130 for extra large. Or for an additional P30 for whipped cream. 
You may also try their Clasicos Jr. for P95 and get your churros in fun-sized cone with a junior size of any dip flavor.
You may see samples of their other flavors and churro products on display at the store to give you a visual idea of what you can order.
They also have other churro products that are not on this display which you can see in their menu.
We met Chef Chris Tejada of La Lola in Manila during the soft opening day at SM Lanang last Feb.18…
We also met Ms. Perrine, one of the owners, as my boys and I had a photo opp with her while she was going around chatting with the customers which was really nice of her to do so.
Fast forward, a month later…
Last March 18, the Davao media, Davao influencers and bloggers were invited to the presscon held at the atrium of SM Lanang Premier before the grand opening that day of La Lola Churreria.

A photo opp session followed the press con with the winners of their Instagram contest and with their fans.
Guests at the presscon during the grand opening day also got to sample their various flavors of churros.
Chico Churro, their mascot was also present that day.
Solenn and Nico, the awesome #SosBolz couple, were so game to pose when I took a photo of them at the store during La Lola’s grand opening in SM Lanang Premier.
It was worth the wait to get through the crowd somehow.
