Spotted the Balamban Liempo branch at People’s Park recently and it somehow stuck to my mind of to-go to place since the franchised branch in Bajada near the Buhangin flyover had already changed to Don Durian.
I recently craved for Balamban Liempo. There is something about this particular known liempo brand from Balamban, Cebu that has been here in Davao City already for quite sometime. Going back November 2011 I think when they opened a franchised branch in Delgar Plaza, J.P. Laurel Avenue in Bajada by the Buhangin Flyover in Dakudao Avenue. They later opened two outlets at Gaisano Mall Davao.
I remember we met Sir Jojo Vergara of the original Balamban Liempo Cebu for the first time here in Davao City during a food event here a few years ago for a store selling boneless lechon belly. I remember he actually won’t tell but later on we figured out his connection to Balamban Liempo Cebu.
Yes I have come to love Balamban Liempo’s secret herbs perhaps, that made me love it since I first tried it here in Davao. It is indeed tastier than any lechon that we have tried.
