Perch Modern Kitchen + Bar Opens in Felcris Centrale
Perch Modern Kitchen + Bar in Felcris Centrale just opened their doors to Davao last Saturday, April 18, 2015.
It has a nice overlooking view from the al fresco area of the mall at the second floor.
This open section is best enjoyed particularly on a night out dining with the good company of your family, friends, or colleagues.
It is the newest gastropub in the city. A gastropub or also known as gastrolounge is a bar and restaurant that serves drinks and food of high quality.
Perch is a must-try new resto and bar in the city to dine and chill with your family, friends, colleague, loved ones or that special someone you’re treating to a nice and special dinner at this newest gastropub in the ever growing food scene in our beloved urban city of Davao.
This is another choice for a new place to spend your nights this summer with friends. Those looking not just for a new place to hangout and chill but want to have a nice culinary and gastronomic adventure, you should try Perch with their interesting and delicious food that adds a lot more to our ever growing list of must-try interesting cuisine and new dishes when you are here in our city.
When Felcris Centrale opened mid February 2015, I already noticed the name of Perch as we went around the newest mall in the city, and got really curious about this new place that will soon open.
Now I am sure you are curious as well to know what’s new that Perch has to offer the foodies, food trippers and food lovers in Davao City.
Let’s start…
For starters, we had Truffle Fries which were baked then fried. Almost perfectly done fries with truffle. It’s delicious! You should try this when in Davao and dining with family and friends at Perch!
El Diablo Fries as the name implies is one interesting mix of spicy fries, onion leeks, topped with fried egg.
Candied Bacon Chips is a fave among Perch diners. Perfect combination of sweet, salty and sinful-licious bacon! It is served with shallot sauce.
Salted Bacon Chips… salty and crispy bacon also served with shallot sauce. Once in awhile indulge in these delicious bacon chips. I suggest the candied version best.
Beer Battered Mozzarella Puffs
Spicy Chili Fingers which are stuffed with mozzarella cheese and keema beef that I fell in love with. Dipped in beer batter and then deep fried. These weren’t as chili as one of our friends feared it might be. But one of these spicy fingers in the bucket just happen to have that extra kick of really being spicy. Surprise!
Smokey Thyme Tenders topped with onion leeks is one dish that has a smokey and interesting flavor in it.
For pizza lovers, here are three of their must try flavors for you and your friends to enjoy at Perch…
LongCheeLog Pizza that has longganisa, mozzarella cheese and egg which we usually have for breakfast that you can enjoy for dinner at Perch.
Kaldereta Pizza, is another choice for pizza. I love the fried potato strips that instantly reminded me of Piknik only these were freshly made and fried.
Keema and Arugula Pizza is my fave among the three pizzas we’ve tried at Perch. The keema beef topping is love.
They also serve pasta…
Smoked Bacon Carbonara is among my fave dishes at Perch. Love the mix of pepper and paprika in this pasta that reminded me of a fave snack food at a new popular milk tea shop in the city. This pasta is served with bread, topped with salted bacon chips and egg.
Angus Basil Meatball Pasta
Panko Crusted Oyster Sisig, this became a fave of most of us in the table. Panko is a Japanese-style breadcrumbs often used as coating for deep-fried foods. This is the sisig I have ever tried that has a generous amount of sauce. It is really delicious and a must try at Perch!
And now for their main course which are all must-try food:
Truffsilog is a big serving of layers of goodness. Generous amount of garlic rice topped with delicious and tender beef tapa with truffle over potato hash and egg cooked as sunny side up. My husband and I agree that we really love how tender their beef tapa was. Perfect and this bowl of goodness can be good for sharing with a friend of loved one!
Perch Rising Sun Angus Burger Steak… tender and delicious Angus beef with potato hash, egg, and slices of onions on top.
It is served with Jasmine rice with black olives that I like.
Osso Bucco Risotto is another must try dish at Perch. Served with risotto rice with turmeric.
Grilled Salmon and Cheese Risotto… I love eating salmon when the chance to indulge comes. Served with Kaffir lime battered sauce, and asparagus. The cheese risotto using mozzarella cheese in this dish reminds me of an old fave food at home.
Whiskey BBQ Chops is another delicious main dish that is becoming a favorite of Perch diners as I have read and seen photos of it in social media. Hubby and I both love this dish. Served with salted fish fried rice, grilled corn cob, mashed potato topped with slices of tomatoes, and balsamic sauce.
You can have a healthy dish after that with this one below…
Deep fried burrito in squash sauce. It is stuffed with Arborio risotto rice and carne asada beef. Topped with corn, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, onions, and mayo. Love this version of burrito perhaps because of my love for squash ever since. It is one generous, delicious and healthy serving of burrito that is worth its price.
The stuffed chicken leg quarter with chorizo and mozarella cheese. It is served on top of mashed potato at the middle with turmeric garlic rice. The server told us that this is among their best seller so far and we did notice many of the diners tonight having this dish served in their tables.
They also have delicious sandwiches…
Angus Cheeseburger Pao which was indeed well done topped with mushrooms. Served with potato fries and dip. I often prefer well done burger but this would have been perfect if it was still a tiny bit juicy and not really dry.
Angus Meatball Sub served with potato chips.
If there was one thing I was not able to try in this food trip, it was this ChoriCheese Burger.
I now have one more reason to go back to Perch with my boys next time, to taste their chori burger.
Most of us were overwhelmed by all the food we have tasted so far at Perch. We initially didn’t expect to have all these beautifully created and delicious tasting dishes served.
Perch Modern Kitchen + Bar is located at the 2nd Floor Al Fresco area of the latest addition of the shopping and dining destinations in the city at Felcris Centrale which is located just right in front of LTO or the Land Transportation Office in Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City.
Perch is open everyday from Monday to Sunday from 5PM-2AM. For now they don’t serve lunch. Their place and location is best enjoyed at night with a nice view from the al fresco section. It is nice to have a new place to dine and hangout with friends may it be a weekend or not.
Perch can just be the right place for you with your friends and colleagues to rest, relax and hangout after a hard day at work with good food and good company to enioy!
