Launching of Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Perfect at SM City Davao

Pretzel fans in Davao can now enjoy their fave pretzel treats as Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Perfect Opens at SM City Davao. Read that post to know about a little more of the history of the pretzel house. The branch in SM City Davao main mall is the is the 24th branch in the Philippines which had their grand launch yesterday September 12. While their 25th branch is the one at SM Lanang Premier which had their grand launch today September 13.

They had their own traditional pretzel pulling ceremony yesterday during their grand launching in SM City Davao in lieu of the usual ribbon cutting done by others.

The SMCD branch is located near Bigby’s and McDonald’s at the main mall.

Twistee, Auntie Anne’s friendly mascot was there during the launching as well for the pretzel fans who wanted to have a photo souvenir with him.

Over the years, Auntie Anne’s has rolled approximately more than a billion pretzels and they have finally opened a branch in Davao City, the first one in Mindanao. They are planning to branch out in the future in other areas in the region.

Their pretzel selections are: original, cinnamon sugar, garlic, pepperoni, almond, raisin, sesame, sour cream & onion, and chocolate chip.

Here is that Instagram photo I posted the first time we tried their pretzels ever when they just opened here. It was a fun afternoon snack experience. We were actually supposed to have a late lunch after having brunch that day but we decided to spoil our late lunch (not dinner then) with these. Not included in the photo was the chocolate dip that made our first Auntie Anne’s pretzel experience more complete.

Now this one below was taken during the launch. They told us to eat the pretzels immediately but we had to quickly snap photos as part of what we usually do before eating during a food trip.

Sir Mikkel said you can wait for a few minutes and request for new and just baked pretzels fresh from the oven. While some customers prefer to take these home and just re-heat them and they still love it. There is an instruction on how to do that at home at the back of the package as Mikkel pointed out.

I was just thinking these pretzels and nuggets would be great for afternoon snack break. I could have those cinnamon flavored ones at any given day.

My little boy and I love the cinnamon pretzel nuggets and loves eating it in their chocolate dip.

Auntie Anne’s most popular pretzel flavors are also available as bite-size pretzel pieces called, Pretzel Nuggets.

These are their almond pretzel nuggets. A serving of these nuggets is the same as one whole pretzel only these are sliced into smaller pieces which are easier to eat and enjoy!

These are their original pretzel nuggets in their bite-size pretzel version.

My personal fave, since my boys and I first tried just days after Auntie Anne’s first opened at SM City here in Davao, would have to be their cinnamon sugar pretzel. My dear little boy and I love to eat this with their chocolate dip. As they would put it, what better way to spoil dinner than with this sweet treat in cinnamon and sugar. Plus don’t forget the chocolate. *wink*

Dipping it in cheddar cheese is also something you might like to try just as we did yesterday. You got to live and treat yourself with these pretzels! By the way, since Auntie Anne’s pretzels are made fresh in their stores, you may request them that your pretzel be without butter in case you want a lower calorie option. They also have the pretzel stix in original and cinnamon sugar flavors.

These which look like bacon-wrapped hotdogs are actually their Pretzel Dogs. I had a bite of just 1/4 of the whole piece and it was already filling enough and delicious especially when it is freshly made. Surprisingly when we were still chatting away after this was served, it was still warm when we ate it.

The pepperoni pretzel shown below is also one of their pretzel choices that I want tor try with my boys on our next visit.

Now these are their dips for P20. You may choose from their caramel, chocolate, cheddar cheese and cream cheese dips.

To complement their different pretzel selections, Auntie Anne’s lemonade can be enjoyed in its signature version or as Lemonade Mixers which are in what they call bold fruity flavors.

On any hot day, you may quench your thirst with their cold beverages. This is their Lemonade Mixer in Kiwi flavor which is their bestseller in the SM Davao branch. It tastes sweet with a tiny hint of being sour.

This Lemonade Mixer in blue raspberry flavor is what I and my hubby liked more.

I went for their good Old Fashioned Lemonade made from freshly squeezed lemon. A healthy drink option to drink as you eat your fave pretzels.

These staff came from various branches of Auntie Anne’s in Manila and are here to help train the Davao team. They will be sent off soon to Baguio where Auntie Anne’s will be opening a branch this October.
