Starbucks Now Selling DOLE Phils. Cavendish Bananas
Starbucks Now Selling DOLE Phils. Cavendish Bananas
We went to Starbucks today at their floating cafe at SM Lanang Premier here in Davao City to chill out on this hot summer Thursday afternoon after dropping by my sister’s office where she gave me a cash gift as a belated birthday gift for me so I can also treat my boys.
So that’s the reason we ended up in Starbucks. One of the treats I wanted was to try the newly launched Starbucks drinks a few days ago. I am curious on the Banana Mango Frappuccino beverage so that’s what I ordered.
While I was still waiting in line for my turn to order. I immediately noticed these cavendish bananas on display at the counter near one of the cashiers.
It is individually packed and sealed with a label from Starbucks. By the looks of it before I read the label, they look like bananas from DOLE and indeed the lower right side of the label says it is packed by DOLE Phils. It easily reminds me of my former boss as she used to give us this kind of DOLE bananas in the office which are for export.
These cavendish bananas are sold in Starbucks at a retail price of P20 each. It’s one of the cheapest food they have offered in the store here in Davao since that is as far as I know. It has 170 cal. according to the pack. This banana is a better and healthier alternative of food considering the protein and dietary fiber it has when you want something to eat or something particularly ready-to-eat while you’re in their coffee shop.
Lately I have been making sure we have a supply of bananas at home. We usually buy the lacatan variety of DOLE or Dizon at the grocery. When we get to visit the nearest public market or the veggie stand near our place, I prefer the smaller tundan or latundan bananas.
It’s good that Starbucks has included bananas into their food offerings and even in their frap beverage.

I love bananas!
I love bananas! Nice that they have it in their stores.
I wonder if you still want to eat this when you are having their new banana mango frap at the same time. That just seems to be too many bananas in one visit at Starbucks unless you’re going crazy over bananas.
