Sinangag Republik (former Sinangag Express)
Here’s a throwback or flashback exactly two years ago when we visited the newly opened Sinangag Express then that opened June 1, 2012.
It is located at Metrolifestyle Complex, Jacinto Extension corner F. Torres Street, Davao City. It’s between Bo’s Coffee and California Diner, near Cafe Asia Dimsum House.
Now it carries the name Sinangag Republik. When it was named before as Sinangag Express, we thought it was a franchise of those found in Metro Manila which has the same name.
Here are more flashback photos exactly two years ago today (which I found in my photo files as I am currently cleaning up my files in my MBP) during a simple food trip with my boys there then.
One of the attractions is this ‘Pinoy jeepney’ inspired design that can be seen from outside. You can actually eat in this area.
We tried this once and it was a fun experience then especially for our little boy. You’d see the passing jeepneys in the street and some people look at you then since this was still something new then and interesting.
Their cashier counter is unique as it is the back end of the ‘Pinoy jeepney’ which you can see at the front entrance.
They have on their walls road signs and car number plates from various places like Panama, Ontario in Canada, New York, Nevada, Virginia and California, USA.
Their colorful menu that shows a list of the usual and popular sinangag and breakfast dishes/meals which we Pinoys love. They also have Sinangag Value Meals and Sikat Meals to choose from. The last I heard they offered their Big Meals and Fiesta Plates choices too. They also had a loyalty card where you get a free pin and free mug after a certain number of visits.

I hope the food is still as good just like when they opened two years ago. We have not been back here for quite a long while.
They are open 24 hours catering to call center agents and workers from Metrolifestyle building and nearby offices. They also have free WIFI for their diner. Also read that their offering free coffee now for every meal.
