Sumptuous Lunch at Manzoku Japanese Restaurant in Felcris Centrale
Japanese restaurants for foodies and food-trippers who are craving for delicious Japanese dishes continue to grow in number in Davao’s food scene.
One new Japanese restaurant that opened early this year which we liked the first time we visited the resto is the Manzoku Japanese Restaurant in Felcris Centrale.
Today, when we finally got time for a lunch date and hubby suddenly had a day off from work, we dropped by Manzoku for our second visit and what turned out to be a really sumptuous lunch there.

We delightfully enjoyed some of the delicious bestselling Japanese dishes in Manzoku’s menu that you will enjoy as well as a treat when you visit them soon with your special someone, family, friends, colleagues and loved ones.
Gyudon
Hubby and I certainly agreed on this one… we share a love for Manzoku’s Gyudon! It was the first dish we digged in to and we didn’t regret it. Gyudon is a popular Japanese rice bowl dish. It means Gyu (beef) and Don is short for Donburi meaning rice bowl.
Gyudon is a Japanese beef rice bowl served with an egg topping. We love the mildly sweet, savory sauce they used for this dish. The recipe for the sauce for gyudon is usually a mix of soy sauce, sake, and mirin (sweet rice wine), then with sugar added. Manzoku’s sauce is probably a secret. We love it anyway. The thinly sliced beef tenderloin, which is indeed tender, was cooked just the way we prefer and want it to be. We enjoyed sharing this bowl of sweet flavor of goodness. The bowl was emptied to the last bit which perfectly shows how much we both enjoyed this flavorful dish.
Manzoku’s Special Maki and Gyudon
Manzoku’s Special Maki
Their special maki is made of a roll of rice with tempura, topped with slices of salmon, bread crumbs, mayo and wasabi. This special maki of Manzoku became a particular fave of my hubby among the dishes we had for lunch there. A slice or two of this roll is filling for me already while he ate the rest with gusto. Oishi!
Gyoza
Gyoza or dumplings stuffed with ground pork wrapped in a thin dough or dumpling wrapper. It is served with a light dipping sauce. It is a popular dish in Japan. Whenever we happen to find ourselves in a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine before, I often look for gyoza. Manzoku’s gyoza is one of their popular dishes among their customers.
I really enjoyed the subtle flavor of their gyoza and ate more than half of the serving, while hubby was more into the Manzoku special maki. We would like to try the other version of deep fried pork dumplings next time. Hubby and I love fried pork siomai so we would like to give that deep fried version of their gyoza on our next visit.
Seafood Ramen
Perfect for sharing with a loved one, the seafood ramen is a must-try among the bestselling dishes at Manzoku. Their ramen noodles are thin and straight.
I asked where they get it from and Sir Jed Galvez of Manzoku said they really make their own ramen noodles in their commissary. Love their ramen noodles.
Their beef teppanyaki is one of their best selling dishes. We were served pork instead of the beef variety to us since we already have the beef gyudon. Teppanyaki is a Japanese dish cooked with the use of an iron plate or sizzling plate. Teppan means iron plate, and yaki means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried.
I like the taste of bean sprouts with cabbage and julienned carrots. I love bean sprouts but have to go easy when I indulge in it.
Most people who have dined at Manzoku as I’ve heard had a great dining experience there. You must give this Japanese resto a visit when you are in Davao City craving for Japanese cuisine. The word Manzoku in Japanese means satisfaction or to feel satisfaction.
It has always been personally a great dining experience for us at Manzoku, thanks to their delicious Japanese dishes and the good service of their staff especially Sir Jed. We have always been more than satisfied with our ramen noodle cravings.
The gyudon, ramen and gyoza have been more than satisfactory, as well as the maki as hubby would like to add, they are all delicious dishes to try at Manzoku to satisfy your cravings for delicious Japanese dishes.

Hi! Can you also share the price range of their menu and if each order can be shared for a group of 2-4 persons? I would love to dine there too as I am really into anything Japanese. Thank you.
