Barbeque Monsters

A few weeks ago, Barbeque Monsters had their soft opening last November 18, 2014. It is located along Mabini Street near Dimdi Centre Building, in front of Stock Bridge International (formerly Tumble Tots) and Six Eleven Global Teleservices call center.

We have seen it a few weeks before they opened when we passed by this area looking for a gt hundy at a store nearby. We saw Barbeque Monsters still busy doing the construction of their store at that time.

There were more people coming at almost seven in the evening curious to try this new resto. Since they are understandably still on soft opening, some of the dishes on the menu were not yet available.

It took me sometime to decide since my dear little guy is quite choosy with what he wants to eat that night. Some of our choices were either not yet available or are not available anymore since I heard the owner explained that they did not expect the turn out of customers earlier during lunch time as they had their soft opening today.

My little guy and I decided to go for their Monster Meal Cajun Chops shown above. Their monster meal comes with two servings of rice. I ordered an extra side dish of macaroni salad which they placed in the plate. While the mac and cheese choice of side dish of my dear little guy was placed instead in a small bowl. The penne mac salad was okay. The mac and cheese could have been cheesier perhaps. *wink*

I paid additional P15 for a drink (not included in the photo) since the monster meal does not include any drink from what I remember.

The pork chop was well as what you can see above was well hmmm…

We still managed to enjoy it though scraping off the burnt parts. It was quite harder to chew than what I hope it was supposed to be. Anyway, we will give it another chance if ever we still get to go back here with the hubby next time around. I didn’t order another dish since what I wanted was not available that time and I was still quite full from a late afternoon snack that day. My little guy did enjoy his visit there since he saw a former classmate and familiar faces of kids that night.

As of this time, we have not been back yet here. Hopefully we get to try it again soon.

Barbeque Monsters is open Monday to Sunday from 10AM to 9PM.
