Always a joy to find a beautiful avocado. Got to make homemade avocado ice cream. Mashed the avocado and freeze it overnight. I added some milk (optional and better without milk unless you have the healthier kind of milk to use on hand. Hubby and I love avocado as I grew up having an avocado tree at home and blessed with free supply in my parents’ home. Avocados these days can be pricey. Hubby gets to buy them almost half cheaper in another place on his way home when traveling so he makes sure he brings some home. Good source of fiber and helps in b-movement for those constipated days.

Avocado shake for a good treat to beat the summer heat! Better than a cold soda which is not a good option and I was seated in front of a man drinking a canned soft drink. I feel happy with my avocado shake looking at him (how many tsps of sugar is in there) and our body will thank us too for choosing a healthier drink. Doctor said clean drinking water is even way better. Choose healthy as much as possible and your older self will thank you for that. YOLO is not an excuse. Hydrate yourself in this summer heat.

A Mi… prawns inasal flavored with a touch of ginger, annato oil and lime julienne squid poached in Chardonnay butter. Cuttlefish rice cooked with soffrito and smoked paprika, pimiento aioli and edible flowers.

Enjoyed this paella version of Chef Kenneth Cacho on the first day and enjoyed it even more on the 2nd night of Chefs On Tour at the Grand Ballroom of DusitD2 Davao.
