Surprised

My dear mom was surprised we brought her to a quite expensive Filipino restaurant. We had a rare family food trip for her. She is not much into dining out as she prefers that we eat at home for her special day. But we insistsed on making it different this year for her and to break the family tradition, we treated her out. She would have been more surprised if we gave her a bouquet of flowers. I actually wanted to but I know she prefers much simpler gifts. I have been looking at the beautiful flowers shown at a site that provides Honolulu flower delivery since 2001. Of course am far from that place but with my mom’s special day, I am looking into giving her flowers. She would surely be surprised if I pushed through with my sister’s plan before. Maybe we could still give her one next time when she least expected to get any gift from us.
