Sundate Family Dinner Alfresco Style at Hog’s Head

We passed by this lit with Christmas lights and new alfresco restaurant near Bae Bistro and Mercury Drug Mabini branch in Circumferential Road and instantly decided to have our Sundate family dinner alfresco style at Hog’s Head.

First thing I noticed was this hog looking on the BBQ grill station. We found it amusing but on second thought, isn’t it somehow sad seeing pork meat being cooked over the grill? Oh my!

Liked the new, clean, and spacious garden feel while dining on a breezy Sunday evening with my boys there. I just wanted to have barbecue and a little lechon belly which wasn’t available though that time.

Barbecue priced at P15/stick. I am happy with their delicious and affordable tiny pork barbecue that reminds me of the barbecue of Manong suki in Stella Maris in Loyola Street, Obrero and somehow of the pork BBQ I tried in Mamay. Happy tummy and cravings satisfied already and simply happy to dine there with my boys in a chill place with good spacious open garden dining area. We avoided the smoke from their chimney that is why we didn’t push through dining upstairs.

Am good with just the barbecue as I just want to have a simple, open air dinner plus the music list was from our time and I would have danced like no one was watching but hey people were coming in – couples on date and families too. So sat tight and swayed to the music of our times.

We also saw familiar faces dining there so we had a chat while our food orders were being cooked.

They have a second floor alfresco area still.

They also have two glass enclosed see through function room good for private dinners, small parties, meetings and family get together for special occasions or even just Sunday family bonding get together. There’s a charge of P2,500 consumable for 2 hours and P3,000 for 3 hours also consumable.

Didn’t try their sisig. We will come back next time for that.
