Longganisa Pasta of ECHOcafe in the New ECHOstore Davao

Two days ago, after missing the chance to visit it the day before with my boys, we finally were able to check out ECHOstore that has the ECHOcafe! It’s good news for foodies and food trippers in Davao looking for a place to dine and shop for eco-friendly products at the same time.

I initially wanted to try their Pasta a la Trio which is said to be ECHOcafe’s signature pasta dish. It is described as being spicy, sweet, salty and sour… it’s like a party in your mouth they say. I’m curious about that pasta.

I know however that since we have the little kid with us so he might not want the pasta to be salty, spicy and not even sour. We just had lunch at Chowking an hour before yet I know he will get hungry after awhile. So I chose another pasta they recommended which is their Longganisa Pasta.

Fettuccine pasta with chicken longganisa, white sauce, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and  garnished with parsley on top. Served with two slices of bread on the side.

I was told by the male staff who took our order that this is on the sweet side kind of pasta dish. It was not as sweet as I thought it would be. I read somewhere that this can be very sweet.

I am satisfied as to how it tasted and enjoyed sharing with the hubby. I somehow indulged a little bit more on the parmesan cheese when Ronald, who is from one of their stores in Manila and is here to train the staff, handed me the parmesan cheese shaker. I even added a bit of it to my half eaten Fresh Greens salad order. Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone. I rarely indulge in cheese these days anyway. *wink*

Last Monday May 5, ECHOstore finally opened here in Davao City.

It has the ECHOcafe, the food arm and located inside ECHOstore Davao. They serve pasta, healthy salads, hot and  grilled sandwiches, breakfast, open faced toasts as well as soup.

ECHOcafe and ECHOstore favors local products that support earth-friendly initiatives and help sustain local farmers. Their cafe is a great place for locavores who is interested in and loves eating food that is locally produced.

Those who have tried, visited ECHOstores in Manila as well as dined at ECHOcafe there are happy to find a new cafe and place to go to right here in our beloved Davao City!
