They just opened a few days ago at the third floor of SMLA beside Great Image and near KFC. It ain’t obvious that we have been going to SMLA since it opened while we wait for time that the little kid is at school. This gives us time to check what’s new at the first Premier mall of SM in Mindanao while we sometimes do important errands as well when we go there and of course make those little food trips like the one we just did again at Bibingkinitan today.
Their saleslady said they just opened a small stall at SM Davao ground floor last September 1, 2012. I have actually seen their stall before there and just pass by many times before at SM Davao. This one in SMLA is their first in-line store in Mindanao.
This is the photo taken from our first visit last Monday when we saw that they were already open. For P75, we thought it was already sulit for our snacks that afternoon.
Their Cheese Max mini-bibingka costs P25. I love the ‘Cheeze Whiz’ kind of taste which is just like the taste of their cheese sauce that they make at their own commissary. But wait till you try their mini-bibingka original flavor. I instantly fell in love with the taste of the salted egg or what we call itlog na maalat in it which their saleslady explains is typical in bibingka tagalog. Okay I may just have been very hungry when hubby and I first tasted it couple of days ago. I have never tasted bibingkang Tagalog before. I should try that when we are in Manila or wherever there is one so I would be able to compare maybe.
BibingKinitan’s mini-bibingka original flavor costs P20 per piece and a box of 6 costs P120. It has a slice of cheese on top and bits/taste of itlog na maalat or salted egg which made me love it the first time I tasted it. Please note that I have never tried before bibingkang Tagalog as they call it. This one is soft and moist bibingka unlike the usual or native bibingka that I usually eat since and also like the ones sold at the bakery near the SM Supermarket at SM Lanang Premier (that costs P18 each).
Well that part has itlog na maalat…
They have an opening promo with their combo meal BibingKape (photo below) that costs P50 which consists of one piece original flavor bibingka paired with one cup of Barako coffee.
If you buy this, you get an extra piece of original flavor bibingka free. This will last until Friday according to the saleslady. And this is what you get for P50. Good for a Pinoy style merienda already. *wink*
The first time I tried the Barako coffee it was indeed what they said it would be – full and strong flavored coffee. Not my cup of coffee. *wink*
Barako coffee as I have heard is usually grown in the provinces of Batangas and Cavite.
Today when we went back there at Bibingkinitan in SMLA, they now gave us creamer and sugar. Mix to your own preferred taste. After adding sugar and creamer, yes I like the Barako coffee better now. I just can’t finish the whole cup plain at it is. I need creamer and sugar. I therefore conclude I am not a barako (tough man) when it comes to coffee! I want it sweet and creamy. *wink*

Try it and it’s best eaten when it is still hot. Let us know if you like it too and if not, then maybe you can tell them.
