Java Jive Now Brewing 24/7 in Bajada

Java Jive is now brewing 24/7 in a new branch in Bajada. We noticed just a few weeks ago that they were going to open as we passed by that area in Bajada.

We were planning to visit it last night but decided to check it out this afternoon instead.

It immediately made me think of the similar plants used in the latter’s coffee shops in the city. Both of these coffee shop brands in the city brew 24/7 even on holidays.

Before we entered, we also noticed the unique wooden handles on the glass door that says “WELCOME HOME” and “PROUDLY PINOY”. 20141102_141701

Java Jive always uses these words often being a home-grown coffee shop that welcomes Java Jivers into their coffee shop.

This branch shows a different design from the other coffee shops in the city that we usually go to. Upon entering the shop you will see this counter where you make your orders.

Being known as an OPM-themed coffee shop, here is the stage set up where singers do live performances as Java Jive supports local talents as they also aim to hone them and make them ready to compete here and even abroad.

In one of the walls inside the coffee shop, you will see a photo of Juris Fernandez-Lim and her dedication. She is the ambassadress of Java Jive.

One of the reasons why me and my little guy wanted to visit the new Java Jive branch is that we wanted to eat their Jan’s Grilled Cheese Sandwich. It costs P135.

We have been watching the movie Chef and at one point in the movie Chef Carl Casper was making a really delicious and very cheesy looking grilled cheese sandwich for his son Percy. My little guy and I would drool when we watch that scene. While we wanted to make our own grilled cheese sandwich at home soon, we saw the photo Java Jive posted on their FB page. My son wanted to try it and so that pushed us to make a quick visit to their new branch today. It may not be as cheesy, crunchy and delicious as the one we imagined in the Chef movie but it was good in fairness. Quite pricey though but it is a given when you order it from a coffee shop.

We still enjoyed eating the cheese grilled sandwich while we have the whole place to ourselves and watching the lady baristas busy having what seems to be a make up session. *wink* We did not order anything else though because we just had a late lunch before coming over. Yes it was all just for the grilled cheese sandwich and we hurried off for another errand to the mall.

By the way, they posted recently that JavaJive Bajada’s official housewarming and grand celebration of talents will be on November 7 from five to nine in the evening with Musikademy Scholars, Acoustic Trendz and Negative Four performing. We will miss it for another event. Next time we may visit this new branch once again to chill and hang out with my boys.

Java Jive’s new branch is located at Wheels N’ More Drive along J.P. Laurel Avenue in Bajada, Davao City. It is the old space vacated by Space Burger there. They opened last week towards the end of October. They already have WIFI.

Java Jive Bajada’s phone number is (082) 295 9922.
