Green Coffee Opens Marfori Branch
Green Coffee opened its latest Marfori Branch last April 10, 2015 at 3PM.
Happy to see a Davao home-grown coffee shop continuing to expand with more branches after they opened their first branch in May 2011 at Torres Street.
This photo below was taken across when we were at Lachi’s. Pardon the hanging wires. *wink*
They had their traditional one peso on any beverage opening promo last Friday for the first 100 customers. While the next 200 customers who came from what I read on their FB page will avail 50% off which is valid on their next visit.
This Marfori branch is a nice place. That vision of having houses in strategic places for business in the city, converted into shops like a cafe, resto, or coffee shop is being realized slowly as time goes by.
Visited the newly opened Green Coffee this afternoon but they were still doing some painting job inside and decided to come back in the next few days probably when the strong smell of the paint in the air-conditioned coffee shop is hopefully gone. Understandably it is still new and they are still doing more improvements to make it more nice for their customers.
I am excited to see that section below behind those stairs and I think they also have more space up there. I didn’t explore that section anymore when I felt I needed to go out and breathe. Our stay was very short. We will come back soon and hang out since the place is accessible to us.
I like the new look of this branch which is quite different among the other branches they have here in Davao City. They still have those signature fake grass looking dividers. Love the idea of having what seemed to be an old house renovated and turned into a coffee shop.
We had a quick tour…
What you will see on the right side upon entering the gate to the coffee shop.
More tables outside as you will see at the left side.
Upon entering the front door this is what you’ll see as shown on the photo above.
Go in from where I was standing when I took this snapshot and turn right you will see the cashier counter. I wish they will have a mini library or a shelf with a nice collection of books. That will be so nice feature to add in this coffee shop. I’ve been looking for a coffee shop that has a small library sort of in it. I hope Mr. Phil Maranan will get to read this.
This photo above shows the right side upon entering the coffee shop. You’ll see that there are more tables and seats far outside. That door on the leftmost opens to an inner section that can be function room perhaps for private functions, meetings or gatherings like small parties.
If I am not mistaken this used to be the shop of Betis Crafts Inc. which is known for their fine furniture. I remember seeing it once before during our last visit to Lachi’s.
Their Marfori branch has a great location for me as it is located just right across Lachi’s Sans Rival Atbp, a popular restaurant and food destination to go here in the city for their desserts and food.
They are open 24/7 and they are WIFI ready.
See you soon at Green Coffee Marfori!
