Cafe 52 Cafe & Korean Restaurant at Plaza De Bole

Cafe 52, a new cafe and restaurant in Davao City opened last March 12, 2015.

They serve Korean and Filipino cuisine as well as pizza, pasta, sandwiches, coffee, beverages and Korean style halo halo.

In case you are not familiar yet with Plaza de Bole, you’ll see this sign below posted at the side of the street near a laundry shop and a carwash shop near Angel.

My little guy and I were hungry and supposed to eat at Jollibee while waiting for hubby. We spotted Cafe 52 last night as we passed by along Torres Street and it popped up my mind today as I thought we might as well try their pizza there for our late lunch. I heard their pizza was good so might as well give it a try.

I was surprised to find that Cafe 52 is big. Bigger than I expected it to be. It was located in its own separate building at the innermost part of Plaza De Bole which is near Davao Wisdom Academy and just beside Angel Fun.Homes in Torres Street. They have a sign, shown in the first photo, that is visible from the street.

The place turned out to be a spacious, cool and nice looking place inside. First thing that caught my attention when I went inside are their interesting mix and match of furniture – the tables and especially the variety of their chairs. There are different designs of chairs to choose from inside.

This is one nice and fave spot at the corner which is nice to lounge and read or perhaps sit down and chat with friends and loved ones.

The place was also spacious and it makes me think a bit of RBG, the resto of Park Inn by Radisson here in Davao City.

Each table in the resto has this Easy Call button that you can press when you need to call the servers.

We were hungry and I immediately ordered pizza. You can choose between 9″ or 12″. We just went for their 9″ Margarita pizza.

It was served still hot and we liked it. Not too cheesy but it was good. It is also good for sharing for 2-3 persons. Pizza cravings for me and my little guy satisfied today!

When hubby came, we ordered their bestseller, Alla Carbonara.

It tasted good and creamy. Their serving can be good for sharing but if you are really hungry then it’s good for one only. But it is good to share especially this Lenten season when you should try to eat less as a little sacrifice.

They gave us this complimentary pickled Korean cucumber salad.

They have cakes, pastries and other desserts.

Their service water that made hubby ask me initially if I ordered wine. He was just joking of course. We both don’t drink alcoholic drinks.

This is a spot near the entrance door which is a nice spot to have a photo with this as background. A Korean lady tried to show us that the Hulk’s eyes and hand lights up but is better seen when lights are out.

There were many Koreans customers who came in today mostly friends of the owner. The waitress told us that the owner is Korean and is the same owner of Gomone, a Korean restaurant near Chowking Bajada. I remember dining there once a few years ago.

They have free WIFI too in case you want to know.

Cafe 52 is open everyday from 10AM to 2AM. They will be open this coming Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

It is good to find another option for a place where you can dine and hangout especially this summer with your family or friends in this new cafe and Korean restaurant in Davao City.
