Food Trip Treat at Dulce Vida Bakery + Resto
There you are Home Crest! We are finally here for a visit as promised to Ms. Donna’s new baby, Dulce Vida Bakery+Resto!
We promised to pay it a visit once we’re finally done with all our moving to our new place. We promised ourselves as well that the best way to celebrate our move to a new place in the city is to have dinner here with my boys!
We came early for I heard that the place is usually full for dinner on any given day. It was full when we arrived and we didn’t mind waiting. The food here is always worth the wait. While waiting, might as well take a few snaps.
It’s always like a cake feast for the eyes when I see these delicious cakes on display here and even at Tiny Kitchen.
They have cakes and pastries here at Dulce Vida. For those who live in the south part of Davao, if you find going to Tiny Kitchen at Torres quite far, well wish granted as Dulce Vida has opened near SM Ecoland.
When I see these, I used to remember we would go to Tiny Kitchen’s original location and we would buy these broas which was a fave of our little guy way back then.
It didn’t take long and we were given a table. We asked for recommendations from the staff who entertained us and it took awhile to decide among the many new delicious food that Dulce Vida has to offer. There are new dishes here at Dulce Vida as Chef Vincent and Ms. Donna have told us before our visit.
There were just two and half of us so we tried just three new dishes.
Tuna and Cheese Sandwich
My little guy likes tuna and cheese as well. He loves their bread so we went for their Tuna and Cheese sandwich. It was really good. It’s healthy and very tummy-filling. We almost forgot we still ordered pasta and a set meal that was yet to be served. We had to leave more room for those plus the dessert of course!
Next came this order good for 2-3 persons already. Surprisingly it is one generous serving of pasta that was more than we expected. We’re really in for a little dinner feast after all. Our little guy exclaimed upon seeing this serving, “Ang laki!” We’re really hungry anyway after all the things we physically did during this move to our new place, especially the stuff we moved to my parents place today that would no longer fit into our smaller place now.
Next came the set meal we ordered.
I was really full already with the sandwich and pasta. Good thing hubby was still hungry and he ate more of this while I was saving up space for the dessert. Dessert should have come first but I said save the best for last!
To cap a delicious and filling dinner, we had coffee and of course not to be missed when you are at Tiny Kitchen in Torres Street or here at Dulce Vida, you got to have a slice or more of one of Ms. Donna’s delicious cakes!
There were so many that I wanted to eat but we chose the Red Velvet Cheesecake. It’s really delicious and it’s a must-try recommendation from us when you dine at Dulce Vida or even at Tiny Kitchen.
A slice this is a taste of heaven for us and for you cheesecake lovers out there!
Also, their creme brulee cake which you partly see on the right in the photo below, is also a fave of mine and a must-try at Dulce Vida (or at Tiny Kitchen when you’re in Torres). Actually there are a lot of must-try cakes here I tell you! During this visit, I surprisingly saw some familiar faces buying cakes with their families for take-home.
We’re really blessed to have this food trip treat at Dulce Vida! Before we went home, I took a snap of this clean, nice and beautiful spot that I like near the counter of Dulce Vida.
We look forward to our next visit here with my boys.
To the ever gracious and beautiful Ms. Donna of Dulce Vida…
