School Canteen

The school canteen has been my new favorite place lately when I look for cheap and really affordable food for lunch and snacks. When you are trying to save, the school canteen will let you splurge on snacks though not as expensive as when you splurge in a fast food or restaurant in the mall. When we hang out in the canteen of the little boy’s new, big school, it would often cross my mind that selling food in a canteen can also be a really good and profitable business. Just like this stall in the canteen that really sells well to the students in the school.

This particular stall which is the first stall in the school canteen and it has the most customers during lunch, morning and afternoon recess as well as during dismissal time when the students get hungry after their classes.

I wonder how much profit they make each day. This makes me think the owner is lucky with this canteen business. But not all stalls in there are doing as well as this particular stall. The rest may have to need something… for small businesses like those other stalls in the school canteen which may not be doing as well. Yet it still makes me think that serving affordable and delicious food at a school canteen can be a profitable business just like this one shown above in the photo. What is important is that they maintain proper food sanitation and consistency in the good taste, quality as well as quantity of the food they serve to the customers especially since most are students.
