When we first went to Sabroso on its first Sunday, we were not able to come back because we got busy with hubby’s Sunday work schedule too getting in the way. I knew then that Donna and Vincent’s daughter was going to join then on the next Sunday. I wanted to try what the daughter of Donna and Vincent Rodriguez of Tiny Kitchen Creations will sell there. I love Tiny Kitchen’s pastries and cakes so for sure their daughter has some delicious goodies to offer as well on her own. But we were not able to come back since so last Sunday I tried to squeeze in an hour’s time to visit it once again for a very late lunch actually after we had a Sunday brunch and before we head off to attend Sunday church mass.

I got excited when I saw Paulina there last Sunday, I made sure I bought some of her pastries after buying from Jonathan’s Cupcakery (I like the cupcakes too of the cousin of my kind and humble college classmate Boboy). Going back to Paulina, she told us that her best seller are those cookies shown on the top photo. They are almond cookies if I remember it right. I tell you, you must try and buy these cookies, IMO! I should have bought more than one for take home. I surely regretted buying only one when I got to eat it at home already. I cannot wait for Sunday. I don’t think these cookies are available at Tiny Kitchen yet. The little boy immediately asked for her butter cake. He loved it. I will be back hopefully next Sunday to try her cupcakes and that apple pie that hubby wanted!

Paulina is surely a good pastry chef on her own. She still has to graduate and mentioned she plans to help her parents at Tiny Kitchen when she finishes school. I look forward to seeing Paulina’s own pastry creations at Tiny Kitchen in the future if not soon. *wink*

The Sabroso Food Market happens every Sunday at Yellow Hauz. It started last April 15 and was extended until next Sunday June 3, their last day. So if you have not tried going there, do drop by this coming Sunday and buy food from the different budding Davao food entrepreneurs. It could be your way of supporting them as well.

Bring your family and invite your friends along for a Sunday bonding while eating and chatting! Yellow Hauz also serves milk teas if you want to try them too!

Coffee @ Yellow Hauz is located along V. Mapa St. corner Mabini St., Davao City.
