Sweet Summer Soiree at Tea Amo Tea and Coffee Shop
Milk tea places continue to sprout here in Davao City. I wonder if there would be as many milk tea places here in the future like those you would discover and find in Manila. *wink*
Last May 16, hubby and I got to attend the Sweet Summer Soiree at Tea Amo Tea and Coffee Shop. It was a food and milk tea tasting event at the newest milk tea place in town called Tea Amo, owned by April and Chiara Mesiona. For those who love milk tea and is starting to have a liking for milk tea or wants to join the milk tea craze amongst your friends, this is one of the milk tea places to go to in Davao City.
They opened two months ago in March 2012. We have seen this new milk tea place a few times before and often pass by this place on our way home coming from SM Davao but while we were planning when to go there, an invite to this event came up a few days ago and yes we did not want to miss it.
The place is a cozy and nice little tea shop to lounge with friends while enjoying your fave milk tea. Their interior reminds me of someone who loves arts, crafts and pretty, dainty stuff. If I were in my high school and college days I probably love this place even more. If only I have much leisure time now that I am a busy mom. I would love to spend an afternoon of my “me time” here to lounge on a leisurely and quiet Saturday afternoon enjoying a cup of milk tea…
I tried their new flavor called Toffee Coconut with coconut jelly as sinker. It was what they suggested when I asked for what’s new. I went for that instead of the Wintermelon Ice Fruit Tea which I first wanted to try. Maybe next time. Hubby had their Chocolate Chip. I liked the taste of their Toffee Coconut. It was something new for me in terms of milk tea.
It’s nice that you can choose the sweetness level aside from the sinkers that you want in your milk tea. If you and your friends are looking for a place to satisfy your cravings for milk teas, iced teas, blended drinks, hot or cold coffee, snacks and pastries, this is a choice of a place to go to.
They have a very colorful message wall where you can write a message, express yourself and your appreciation for the little tea shop and your love for milk tea from Tea Amo. I’ve read quite a few interesting messages when we were there. I was not able to leave a message so that will be my mission when we get back there for another visit. That is if there is still any space left on this almost filled-up message wall. *wink*
Our first Tea Amo visit was a chance where one can indulge in your milk tea cravings and have as many as you can for the afternoon! I tried one and promised we will be back for another maybe when school starts for the little boy.
We enjoyed tasting the pastry dishes they showcased as shown in the photos above. I liked the Double Chocolate Brownies (lower left of the photo above) and the Toblerone Cheesecake (lower right of the photo above)… while hubby liked the Cheesecake Brownies (upper left of the photo above).
Here are some other pastries to try at Tea Amo…
I have yet to try their pasta dishes. They have other dishes offered for snacks and they have rice meals as well. Now we have some reason to go back to Tea Amo for a food trip next time.
Tea Amo… from this cup of tea, let there be love!
