Piyesta Davao KTV and Resto Bar Opens in The Annex of SM City Davao
Piyesta Davao KTV and Resto Bar opens its second branch in The Annex of SM City Davao… (photo overload!)
Saw Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s signature that she signed on their wall during their grand opening day.
Piyesta’s first branch is in GenSan. People of Davao can now sing their heart’s out in their cozy festival rooms – Masskara, Sinulog, Tuna, and Kadayawan. KTV rates are 100% consumable food and drinks. Room good for 5 persons is P1,000 per hour while a room good for 10 is P1,500 per hour. Succeeding hours cost the same and still consumable.
UPDATE! PROMO for KTV ROOMS pay 1st hour in full (1000 or 1500) and the next succeeding hours are 50% OFF according to Ms. Donna Congson.
They also have what they call board game shots like dama (checkers) shots or drunk sungka and beer pong.
“Kumain, kumanta at mag saya dito sa piYESta! KTV & RESTOBAR may bagong tambayan na ang magbabarkada at magpapamilya!!!…”
Finally today March 30, 2012 we went back to Piyesta Davao KTV and Resto Bar and got a chance to have our first dinner there. It was our third visit already.
The little boy was looking for chicken and so we ordered this half Buttered Chicken (P185) and we loved it! We would like to try their Chicken Lollipop next time. This buttered chicken tastes good and the little boy especially loved it!
Their Fried Rice Good for 4 (P110). Depending on one’s appetite during your food trip, this can be good for two to three. *wink*
We also tried their Humba (P210) which was delicious. I personally wish there was more meat since I have to stay away from the fat which is actually delicious but had to honestly limit eating.
We tried their Pinoy Fries (saging na saba) served with a dip (P50). This first order was good.
I liked that they give free/complimentary egg soup. You got to take it while it’s served hot!
One thing we noticed though is that they do not have plain white rice that little boy wanted so hubby went to the nearby Peri-Peri and bought rice which costs more at P50. Piyesta’s plain rice is denorado rice (P20). Wow I love denorado rice! But the little boy is not used to eating it. We also noticed two other kids in separate tables there looking for the same plain white rice too and they had to buy from Peri-Peri. Their supervisor had noted about this when he dropped by our table. Actually you can request the waiters to buy rice for you at the other resto. We just did not know that when we asked if they had plain white rice.
Updated!
April 4, 2012… On our second dinner at Piyesta here is what we ordered. I hope we can really have a food trip there next time and order the other dishes in their Paborito list when there are many of us because the food is enough for the 2 of us plus the little boy.
I finally gave in to their recommendation of the Paborito dish – Lumpia Shanghai made of Tuna. Indeed it tasted good! I thought it would have that fishy taste based on an experience before in a different resto. But the waiter of Piyesta assured me it didn’t and yes I finally said this one is delicious!
We once again ordered their Fried Rice Good for 4 and this time it was too much for the two of us. The little boy had his plain white rice. Thanks to their kind waiter who bought it for us in the nearby resto Peri-Peri!
For the little boy, we had the Pinoy Fries once again. It tasted good the first time we ordered this.
We first visited this place when they had a soft opening last March 22, 2012 during the grand opening of SM City Davao Annex and the opening of Starbucks’ second branch in Davao at The Annex of SM Davao. But we only took some photos then and took a peek of the place when the waiters let us in especially to see the KTV rooms.
Second time we went here was during their grand opening day last March 28, 2012. The waitress hubby asked though said we can come in at 9PM yet. It was around 6PM when we came hoping we could have dinner there and take photos of their grand opening. Our hungry tummies cannot wait for 9PM and we thought that SM is closed already by that time so we went to Shakey’s in the SM main mall instead since our little boy was looking for chicken and pizza as well.
We found out during our first food trip there from their supervisor Ronald, who came by our table to talk to us, that Piyesta Davao opens at 9AM then closes at 12MN Sunday to Thursday. While they close at 2AM during Fridays and Saturdays. You can still enter through The Annex’s entrance even after 9PM, the SM Davao’s closing time and just tell the guard that you are going to Piyesta Davao.
We have been here four times and I am starting to think we should try their KTV this month. I have yet to convince my other sisters. Hope we can do that for the birthday month celebrants’ family gathering. I would like to bring my family there for my coming birthday. I hope that service will still be as good and consistency of the quality of food will be maintained.
