Jollibee Celebrates A Global Pinoy Christmas With It’s Maaga ang Pasko 19th Year
Just 59 days to go and it will be Christmas, a time and season for giving and sharing which is a tradition that Jollibee imparts to Pinoy kids each year.
The spirit of giving and sharing is never more evident among Filipino families than during the Christmas season. Wherever they are in the world, the Filipinos’ generosity shines brightest during this time of the year. Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko, the country’s biggest and longest running toy and book donation drive in the country, lets families around the globe take part in an annual tradition of spreading smiles and cheer for less fortunate kids this Christmas with the launch of the 19th year of the campaign.
My boys and I got invited to the Mindanao launch this afternoon at the Event Center of SM City Davao Annex. Thank you Ms. Kezia and of course Jollibee! Even if my son and I were not feeling well, we headed to SM Davao to witness and not to miss this important event. It was also fun and entertaining watching The Voice Finalist Morisette Amon perform and sing during the program. More important, it was worth attending this event and being part of something meaningful for less fortunate kids this Christmas.
During the Mindanao launch of Maaga ang Pasko held in SM City Davao, the campaign welcomed its new batch of partner schools and companies, adding to the ever growing family of Jolly Toy Scouts. The campaign also inducted new partners in separate launches in Manila, Batangas, and Pampanga in partnership with SM Supermalls.
Ms. Grace Mercado, Jollibee Operations Director for Mindanao, also shared exciting news for this year’s Maaga ang Pasko. “As Jollibee celebrates its 35th year, we are inviting families from all over the globe to be part of the Jolly Family Toy Scouts. In November, we will be launching the Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko microsite, where families here or abroad can donate a toy and book online. This is made possible with the help of our campaign partners Toy Kingdom and Goodwill Bookstore”.
We know that there are a lot of Filipino families who are living abroad who also want to do their part and share so this gives them a chance to share through this global Pinoy Christmas giving of toy gifts to less fortunate kids in this season of love, gift-giving and sharing. Spread the word to your family, officemates, friends at school or in your local community.
The campaign is also tapping the Filipino communities in the United States, Middle East, Hongkong and Singapore – where Maaga ang Pasko boxes will be placed in Jollibee stores. “With the campaign going global beginning this year, we’re hoping to bring together families here and abroad to make Christmas even merrier for more children and families,” expressed Mercado.
